Delta Force

Our group (Michelle, Jon, Scott, Adam, Allie, Caleb D. and I) found ourselves stuck in Detroit as our flight was delayed due to maintenance concerns on the plane. Jon and I immediately left to see if we could get on a different flight when we found out we would not make it out of the airport in time to make our connecting flight in New York.  It was not an easy task because there were many people having difficulties with flights that evening.  After a couple hours of running around to different customer service employees, we were finally able to find a couple routes, but we would need to stay the night in Detroit.  We were sent to the Best Western hotel for the night.  We were hoping for a nicer place, but when we arrived it did not look too bad.

The group would need to be split up as Michelle, Jon, Allie, Adam, and Caleb would be able to leave on a flight at 6:30am the next morning to hit Atlanta then to Santo Domingo.  The Atlanta flight only had room for six, thus leaving Scott and I to find an alternative route.

Scott and I are stranded in Detroit until 5:20pm Eastern time.  We will then travel to New York to make it to Santo Domingo around midnight.

W/e are still staying positive, but please pray we make it there tonight! Today we felt like a kid at the candy store without any money, everything we have attempted to do has seemed to fail.
