Team Fortune Cookie- Josh, Kaden, Mike, Kari, Kassie, Andrea

Today, we enjoyed breakfast with our host, Evelyn, and headed to the hostel to sing and pray before heading to the campus. We ate lunch on campus and met up with Steve Rosa who went on to translate for Josh and Kassie. Kari and Mike went to the library to meet up with Jesus, Kari & Parker’s friend from last year, and met a new friend, Tommy. Tommy and Jesus both helped with the booth before they had to go to class and work respectively. At the booth we had a drawing for a free iPod that we will give away on Friday. The people coming to the booth had to give the two things God could not do: punish the righteous and let the wicked go free. Tommy was very helpful because he could speak very good English and could answer questions that people at the booth had. Mike & Tommy became friends quickly.

After regrouping, we ventured back out to the campus and talked with a few people. Kari and Mike talked with Onelysse Sanchez, who spoke no English. Kari went through the tract with her and answered questions she had. After a few minutes of thinking, she bowed her head and asked Christ into her heart! (Praise the Lord) Afterwards, she joined us for dinner at Pizza Hut and fit into Grupo de los Galletas de la Fortuna as if she had been there all along, even joking with Kaden as we parted.
