Update from Los Mensajeros
Group Name: Los Mensajeros (The Messengers)
Erik Nielsen, Tiffany McCarthy, Kodee, Wright, Colleen Bragg, Jeff Johannsen
Monday March 17th
Today our group went to the campus of the Universidad Autonomo de Santo Domingo and we were there for most of the day. Our group made a lot of new friends and met up with old friends.
Erik met a Christian named Philippe and they were able to hang out for most of the day. They got to read through parts of 1st John and talk about how Christians are the lights of the world. Kodee and Tiffany were very excited to be able to meet up and catch up with old friends that they each met on previous trips. Colleen and Jeff were able to share the gospel and meet with many people throughout the day.
On Saturday, our group was very encouraged when we met Adiarvi, shared the gospel with him (with the help of a translator) and he accepted Christ into his heart for the first time. God has been faithful and we will continue walking in the Spirit and doing the work of the Lord in the Dominican Republic.
You can be praying that God will save our friends Samantha, Angela, and Robinson. You can also be praying that La Vid (the Christian group on campus) will multiply in numbers and more importantly in faith.
