Greetings from Los Soldados!
We arrived here safely around 1:30pm yesterday. The trip started off with us leaving for Chicago at 9pm from Walnut Creek Church Windsor Heights on Thursday. From Chicago we flew to New Jersey, and then from there to Santo Domingo. From the start there have been a few opportunities to trust God in inconvenient situations, but He has certainly provided according to His nature.
Throughout the trip, we’ve been blown away by God’s beauty and intelligent design, whether it was by watching the sunrise during our first flight or catching our first glimpses of Santo Domingo upon arrival.
After working our way through the immigration and customs systems, we arrived at our hostel, Bella Epoca. We ate lunch with the rest of the missionaries that traveled with us, and then ventured over to La Guibia, the local beach, with the other DMACC team.
We are very excited to get settled and begin our week here in the Dominican Republic!
