Update from Como Un Hefe!

Monday was a very encouraging day for group 'Como Un Jefe' (like a boss)! The Lord provided so many new and old friends that we were able to spend time with. Our group was able to talk with a guy named Daniel who Mel had met last year. She and Liz were able to walk through the gospel with him for about an hour. He said that he remembered some from last year and that he had met Liz's brother last week. We are incredibly thankful for God's timing and the salvation of our new brother in Christ! He has been spending time with another person, Ezekiel, who is a member in La Vid. Please pray that Daniel would grow to love Jesus more and that he would learn to make more disciple through obeying God.

Bri had met a girl named Emely and she spoke perfect English (another exciting thing is that we are running into so many English speakers). Emely knows Scripture very well and she knows what she needs to do to be saved but she does not know what is holding her back. Pray for Emely and her cousin Maxima; that we would be able to see them this week and that they would give their lives to the Lord. Marcos is on fire and his Spanish is on point; our group is so thankful for his zeal and and Spanish-speaking talent. Tyler has been picking up Spanish 'Como un jefe' and has been able to dive deep in his conversations, our group is spurred on by his excitement and humility! David was able to go sharing with his great friends, Kiki and Steve. Though it was a good idea to take them along, it was not as necessary because he spoke with mostly English speakers. Our group has been very excited that the Dominican people are counting the costs but that they are willing to continue to meet up and talk more!

Please pray that we would run into more English speaking Dominicans, that they would learn to spend time with one another, and that our group would be able to help the members of La Vid develop relationships with new believers.
