Team USA Update

Today looked a lot like yesterday in that we spent the majority of the day on campus talking with students and then played volleyball in the evening. Matt was blessed to have people help him with translating and had some really great gospel-oriented conversations with people that were really soft towards the gospel and seemed to understand. Many guys were interested in English conversations with the girls, so prayers are needed that the gospel goes out over their desire for a visa. Ha ha.

We were once again able to spend a lot of time with people Caleb and Shaly had met last year as well as new friends we all met this year over the last few days. Staying in the same place attracted many repeats, so we were able to reconnect and carry on conversations from days before. Scott and Ellie would like prayers for one individual specifically who seems close to accepting Christ. Nicole and Matt were serenaded by some choir kids and were able to talk to many of them, of which at least 2 were Christians and one is really excited to talk about Christ. We were able to see some of them again later at volleyball. Once again, we played with local Dominicans and many heard the gospel as well. We are so thankful for the relationships we have been able to establish and how God is bringing the same people across our path again and again. We have had some crazy conversations and ran into some interesting people. There are many kids that run around on the streets we have been able to love and share with, but they need so many prayers for food, money, etc.

We are scheduled to speak to an English class tomorrow, so prayers for soft hearts are needed as the professor said we could share the gospel! He is not a Christian. Also, we made some connections with the local Campus Crusade leader as well as a missionary group working for Campus Crusade from Oklahoma - the Lord is definitely at work on this campus and more people than we can count have heard the gospel and received tacts!
